This heightened immune response can lead to excessive inflammation in the gums, which is one of the hallmarks of gum disease. Consider using an antimicrobial mouthwash to kill bacteria and reduce inflammation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Visit Your Dentist Regularly<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Visit your dentist at least twice a year for professional cleanings and examinations.
